Hi, I'm Nathalie !

My story began seven years ago, when I arrived in Amorgos as a diving instructor.

I was born in Brazil and raised in France. I had no idea that Amorgos, this little Greek island, would one day feel more like home than anywhere else.

The sea, the mountains, and the kindness of the people here awakened a creative part of me I didn’t even know existed.

And somewhere between the waves and the whitewashed paths, I fell in love with the island, and with Iakovos, now my husband, who shared with me the beauty of local traditions and craftsmanship.

Together, we brought new life to his family’s old grocery store in Lagada.

That is how Agapi by NIAK was (re)born. I kept the name Agapi that means love in Greek, and added « by NIAK » that combines our names, Nathalie and Iakovos.

In French, avoir la niaque means having the drive, the energy, the determination to make things happen. and that’s exactly the spirit behind everything I do and create so it felt natural for it to become my signature name.

I’m a self-taught artisan, inspired by the sea, the island, and the art of giving new purpose to old materials. Each piece I make carries a bit of Amorgos in it: a mix of sun, salt, and stories.

So Agapi isn’t just a shop. It is a cozy salty corner full of joy and connection: a place where people come to slow down, share a smile, and maybe take a little piece of the island home with them
